For most us a garden is, in some way or another, about the plants and trees that grow in it. Sometimes it will be a single specimen surrounded by lush lawn in others it will be packed with herbaceous borders and productive elements or perhaps a focus of low maintenance, ‘almost indestructibles’ for a boisterous family. Each location and client combination is unique and we work with you to ensure the planting creates atmosphere, settles your garden into it’s surroundings and brings your outside space to life.
We take into account a plants form and texture as well as colour and seasonal interest. A plant that is thriving in its surroundings is easier to care for, lower in maintenance and grows better so the plants chosen for your garden will be suitable for site, soil and aspect.
Planting Plans show the plant name, location and quantity of each plants in the new garden design. It will have a plant schedule, which is a list of all plants, proposed size and quantity, this helps to locate plants and to cost the scheme.
Once your plan is complete we can either source the plants, prepare the ground, set out and plant them or we can simply help your landscaper set out the plants. We charge a fixed percentage above cost for plant sourcing.
If MAINTENANCE is not your thing or you’re starting out and need some help we are happy to help you find a qualified gardener locally.
If you’re already a keen gardener but looking for some creative input, ideas and inspiration we can offer you a DESIGN PACKAGE to help you develop your ideas either in planting, design or maintenance.
We can also provide a BORDER REGENERATION service.
For initial, planting design consultations there is a nominal fee of £50 for a 1 hour visit, up to 25 miles from the design studio, for further afield travel is added, this fee is offset against subsequently commissioned work.
