Tendering & Master Plans

Setting out drawings that form part of tender documents
Setting out drawings that form part of tender document

Once you are happy with your design the next step is to appoint a landscape contractor to do the work. You may wish to ask a number of firms to quote for the hard landscaping and planting and we can assist with this tendering process by preparing a full set of master plans and tender documents.

These documents, are a combination of written specifications and drawings, they include setting out information, drainage location and type, detailed technical drawings and material specification.

Tender documents ensure that quotes will be made on a ‘like for like basis’ and you can be confident that the work will be completed to a high specification using the exact materials you and your designer have selected.  Alternatively you may simply want to appoint your own landscaper and we can provide a set of detailed drawings to facilitate the build process and enable your design to be executed with the materials you are expecting.

The documents are often split into hard and soft landscaping sections, though one contractor can bid for both parts.  We strongly recommend the use of the industry standard contracts for Homeowners to ensure build and planting work is carried out to a high standard and under measurable guidelines.

Once you have appointed your contractor you may chose to project manage the build yourself or you may prefer to appoint us to co-ordinate and monitor THE BUILD on your behalf.
